What study quality means
A useful reading begins with the research question, design, comparator, sample, exposure, outcome, missing data, and funding. Statistical significance and clinical importance are different questions.
Cannabis findings depend on the product, dose, route of administration, population, and outcome measured. A result about one cannabinoid or formulation should not be generalized to every cannabis product.
How strong is the evidence?
We weigh systematic reviews and well-controlled human studies above observational reports, case series, animal studies, and laboratory experiments. Each can answer useful questions, but they do not support the same degree of certainty.
Cannabis research faces extra variation in products, potency, prior exposure, blinding, and legal access. Those constraints belong in the conclusion, not only the fine print.
