Raphael Mechoulam and collaborators clarified the structures and stereochemistry of major phytocannabinoids, including CBD and delta-9-THC. His laboratory later contributed to identifying endogenous cannabinoid signaling molecules, including anandamide and 2-AG.
Cannabis findings depend on the product, dose, route of administration, population, and outcome measured. A result about one cannabinoid or formulation should not be generalized to every cannabis product.
